Charles E. Fisher, Sr.

Suffolk Virginia  – Charles “Chuck” Edward Fisher, Sr., Age 61, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 15, 2011 in the early morning hours at home with his Children and Love ones by his side. He was born in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Lucetta and Eugene Safrit Charles Sylvester Fisher. He was a US Navy veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a very spirtual person who became a Assembly God Ordained Minister Serving in many churches across the Hampton Roads Area Chuck was active and highly visible in all aspects of the Suffolk community and during his military career, serving as a protestant lay leader aboard the USS Puget Sound AD38. During his 3 years in Gaeta Italy where he brought his family for that tour. Chuck also started a Christian Radio program for Sailors abroad and brought many comfort while away from home, even providing children programs which he had his children tell the stories via Italian Radio .

Chuck is survived by his son, Charles “Chuck” E. Fisher, Jr. (Erlynn); daughter, Christy Breeden (Chris); grandchildren, Andrew Fisher (Kiersten),  Alyssa and Jacob Breeden, and Charlynn Fisher his newest addition to the Fisher Family born on the 9th of September 2011 ; great grandson, Ethan Fisher; sisters, Sandra and Nancy; brothers, David and Bobby Safrit (Bonnie); former wife, of 25 years Roberta Boyle (Michael); and his special sidekick, Baby Girl.

A service with military honors will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 4 p.m. Praise be to Jesus he is no longer suffering with pain in the body and he is now present with the lord! He is no longer alone!
